The unique shape of this ocarina was inspired by the great total solar eclipse that crossed America in August, 2017. It is made of beautiful African Sapele hardwood. Though it is a hard and heavy wood, the ocarina is very light, weighing in at less than 6 1/2 ounces. This makes it extremely comfortable to hold and play. It is in the key of D and has a range from C#4 to E5. It plays effortlessly with just the slightest breath of air but also has a strong, resonant tone.
