*Ocflute~Sopranino Ext. in Grenadilla and Bone
About This Product
Overview
The extended range Sopranino ocFlute has 6 holes on the front and 2 thumb holes on the back. A fingering chart is available HERE. A further explanation of the fingering can be seen HERE.
Grenadilla (also called African Blackwood) is the premier wood for making woodwind instruments. All of the finest clarinets, oboes, and bagpipes are made from it because of its stability and beautiful tone quality. I cut the white inlay from camel bone.
With this new instrument I am, in a way, returning to my roots in that I started out turning wooden recorders and flutes in 1975. The OcFlute combines the beautiful tone of the ocarina with the elegant lathe-turned profile found on 18th century woodwinds.
